Depending on what part of the body the child turned to the exit of the birth canal, the following types of the presentation of the fetus are distinguished: pelvic, head, skew, cross. When oblique or cross types take place – cesarean section is more often, if there is a head type of presentation (if there are no other indications), the birth is made in a natural way. When the breech type occurs, doctors usually recommend performing the surgery, but the woman can safely give birth independently.

If the expectant mother feels pulling of the stomach and / or spotting appear, then, most likely, we are talking about premature birth. In this case, there is an urgent need to call a doctor, and if possible, he preserves the pregnancy or delivers a baby. At this stage of pregnancy the baby is viable enough.

Bloody discharge and abdominal pain may also be the manifestation of abruption or placenta previa.

The pathological changes, which are associated with placental abruption, are primarily connected with the appearance of bleeding that arises because of the damage of utero-placental vessels. Due to the fact that the placenta starts separating from the uterine wall, the accumulation of blood between the placenta and the uterine wall occurs, and therefore a hematoma is formed. Gradually increasing hematoma enhances the placental abruption from the uterine wall, and as a result it leads to the compression making placenta incapable to perform its functions.

Doctors distinguish mild, moderate and severe premature detachment of the placenta. The classical clinical signs of premature placental abruption – are bleeding from the genital tract, uterine pain and tension, disorders in cardiac activity of the fetus.

Placenta previa during pregnancy is considered as one of the most serious complications during gestation and the subsequent birth of the child. The fact is that the situation where the placenta partially or completely covers the cervix, and this is the placenta previa, is irreparable – there is no possibility to correct this state of affairs medicamentally, although there is always a chance that the placenta will independently displace from the lower divisions of the uterus.
